November is such a wonderful time of the year at Mt. Pleasant. We celebrated Harvest week, learned the letter E and in the next few weeks, we will learn about the letter F and G and celebrate Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving Feast will be on Wednesday, November 22nd and we will be playing games, and dressing like the early settlers for our huge lunch. Please remember that we are closed Thursday the 23rd and Friday the 24th.
Please note the two sign up sheets in the office. One is for our Childcare Saturday fundraiser and the other is to take orders for Christmas cookies. The way the fundraiser works is this: We will unofficially open the child care with minimal staff on Saturday, December 9th from 8:30 – 5:00. The staff will volunteer their time to care for your children while you get ready for Christmas (shop, decorate, wrap). You will not be charged for the time, but will accept donations for the day. No meals will be provided, so if your child will be here for lunch, please send one with him or her.
The Honduras team is selling Christmas cookie trays to help fund their mission trip. Each tray will have four dozen cookies at a cost of $25.00 each. The cookies will be available for pick up on Tuesday, December 18th.
