Since we began our new academic year, we have been very busy. We’ve learned about each other, the preschool and pre-k classes began with learning the letters and numbers. For fire prevention and safety week, we had visits from the Raccoon Township fire and police departments, and Medic Rescue. The first day of fall was celebrated and we were able to go to Hozak’s for a very wet and cold field trip. We had so much fun at our Harvest Party. Thank you for the parents who were able to attend those events. We always appreciate the help.
November is in full swing, with Thanksgiving being celebrated in a few weeks. We will hold our Thanksgiving Feast on Wednesday morning, November 24th. Please remember that we will be closed both Thanksgiving day and Friday, November 26th.
We are planning another field trip in December, and will get information to you as soon as we firm up the plan. Be sure to check your child’s mail box or folder for all the information about our activities. Each class publishes a month newsletter. We welcome speakers for our classes. If you or someone you know, would like to come and speak to our children about an interesting job or talent, please let us know. We also welcome book readers for all ages.
Our fall fundraiser is running now until November 30th. Please try to support this cause. We only have two fundraisers a year, and all proceeds are used to improve and maintain our playgrounds. Mulch needs to be purchased twice a year, the ship maintained. Our wish list includes new fencing for the toddler playground, and a replacement for the circle cycle.
