Ray Vander Laan, teacher and historian, brings together history, culture, and geography to illuminate the Gospels so that we can better understand the world in which Jesus lived. We will contrast 2 kings – Jesus & Herod the Great and learn about a fortress in Masada and who the Essenes were. Did they write the Dead Sea Scrolls? Is Jesus, our Bridegroom, preparing a place for his bride? Where did he get that concept? And much much more. I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve learned already. Jan Garland
