October Happenings

We are having so much fun already this year, and we would like to keep you up to date on all the activities we have planned. We will be having our annual Chestnut Candle fundraiser this month. Be sure to look out for the order forms.  On October 2nd and 3rd we will be hosting our Grandparents in the morning and serving lunch to those who wish to eat with the children.  The Infant and Pre K (Debbie & Sally) classes will celebrate on Wednesday and the Toddlers and Pre-School (Michelle & Bonnie) on Thursday.  The day will begin at 9:30 and end at 11:45.  The following week is Fire Prevention and Safety week.  We will be having visitors from Medic Rescue, the Fire Department and Raccoon Police. On Monday, October 21st we will be having our Open House from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Come and meet with your child’s teacher along with other fun activities planned for this evening.  We have a field trip to Janoski’s Pumpkin Land on October 24th for the Pre School and Pre K classes.  Permission slips will be available soon.  We welcome parents to accompany us, but remember, our bus fills up quickly.  Get those slips in as soon as you can to be sure you have a spot.  Finally, we will have our Harvest Party in the morning of October 30th.  Remember, we do not dress in costume for our party, but we have a lot of fun!!  Mt. Pleasant’s youth group will be sponsoring  a fun evening on Saturday, October 26th at 5:30.  On that evening, they will be holding a “Trunk or Treat” in our parking lot.  The community is invited to attend this event.  There will be more details regarding all of these “Happenings” in the office or your child’s mail.
