Wow, Summer is a little more than half over! Mt. Pleasant has been hopping! We explored amphibians, deserts, gardens, all sorts of animals, the ocean, fish and insects in June and July. We also enjoyed breakfast with Dad, had our bike parade and made it a week! VBS was so much fun!! We will continue our fun in August learning about the sky, space and weather. We hope to organize an end of summer field trip. You will receive more information about that soon.
Our “School Kid” population exploded this summer. We have needed three staff with that group most days. Mr. Luke has been very busy trying to survive, which is the school age theme this summer, and we are grateful for Miss Holly’s Wednesday Bible Day.
You may have noticed some new staff this summer. Elsa Harris, Jordyn Herman, Sara Hickman and Katie Pierce have joined us to help out this summer. We are so fortunate that God provides people to fill in when we need them the most. We are always accepting employment applications, if you or someone you know, might like to work here.
Summer will soon end, and we will begin our new “School” year. We will be closed on Labor Day, September 2nd, and our regular curriculum begins on Tuesday, September 3rd. We still have openings for our PreK class. This class is for children who will be attending Kindergarten in 2025.
Mt. Pleasant Church and Sunday School will be hosting a picnic on Sunday, September 8th and cordially invite all our child care families. There will be many fun activities including a petting zoo, snow cones and popcorn. Lunch will also be served at 11:30 am. Please consider attending as all are welcome.
Thank you for allowing us to care for your children. It is a responsibility we do not take lightly. If you need something special from us, we are more than willing to try to meet your child’s and your requests.
Enjoy the remainder of your summer!
