Summer Sunday School Update for 2023
For Preschool-6th grade students:
Starting Sunday, June 4th, children from preschool-6th grade will combine together for Sunday School. The class will be lead by Miss Carol Olson, with other teachers and volunteers helping each week. Our Summer curriculum will be based on:
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
For Junior and Senior High youth:
“Confirmed: My Identity in Christ, My Place at Mt. Pleasant” is a class being offered this summer for everyone who has finished 7th – 12th grade this school year, even if they have attended a confirmation class in the past and/or have chosen to become a member. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall during Sunday School from June 4 – August 27. At the end of this class students will be given the opportunity to join Mt. Pleasant Church should they wish to do so. The class will be taught by Denise Lander. Please contact her if you have any questions or concerns at 724.312.5771.
