We are so happy to be back in the “swing” of things this month.  Our PreK classes have begun and we are meeting some new children and their families.  Our other classrooms are filled with children and we are looking forward to a new “school” year.  Please attend our open house if you can.  It will be held on Thursday, September 29th from 6:30 until 8:30.  We will have an Usborne Book Sale, a jewelry table and some craft items for sale.  The children can make a craft, get their face painted and have popcorn and snow cones.  Come with your questions for the staff, and enjoy cookies and punch.

October begins with Grandparent’s Days on Tuesday the 4th and Wednesday the 5th.  We will celebrate the Infant’s and Toddler’s grandparents on Tuesday and the PreK’s and Preschool’s on Wednesday.  If no grandparent is able to attend, a special guest may substitute.   This is the day that the grandparents can see what the children do here.  We have activities planned and they can stay and have lunch with their grandchild.  Please let us know if your child will be leaving with his or her grandparent.

The week of October 10th is Fire Prevention and Safety Week.  We will be hosting special guests all week.  On Monday, the Raccoon Police will be visiting.  Tuesday, Medic Rescue will be showing us their ambulance.  The Center Township Canine Unit will visit on Wednesday.  The Beaver County Sheriff’s Department will speak to the children on Thursday.  On Friday, the Hanover Township V.F.D. will visit the center while the Pre School and Pre K classes will be visiting the Raccoon Twp. Department on Patterson Road.  The firefighters there will be conducting a tour and serving our children lunch.

October 27th is our Harvest Party.  Please remember, we do not dress in costume for the party.  The children will be playing many games and going home with A LOT of candy.  You may send treats with your child, but remember when purchasing your treat, we are a peanut free facility.

If you would care to help at any of these activities, please let us know.  Extra hands are always welcomed.
